Gangour is the folk-dance form of Rajasthan. It is being performed on gangour festival.

The term gangour is comprised of ‘Gan’ and ‘Gour’ where GAN refers to lord shiva and ‘gour’ refers to Gouri, Goddess Parvati. It is ceremonial dance of women in connection with pooja ceremony of Iswar and Gangour (means lord shiva and Parvati) dressed in colourful costumes and jewellery, with pot on their head, the women move in circle, The movements and the pattern of the dance changing according to the music.
